Continuing Medical Education

UPDATED 09 FEBRUARY 2020
The deadline to be eligible for CME credit has now passed. If you completed the CME feedback form, your CME certificate will be added to your account from Monday, 17 February 2020.

The EB 2020 – 1st Global Congress on Epidermolysis Bullosa, London, United Kingdom, 20/01/2020 - 23/01/2020 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 22 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist can claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

EACCME® credits

Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form.

IMPORTANT NOTES FROM THE EB 2020 SECRETARIAT:

  1. YOU CANNOT MISS THE DEADLINE. The feedback form will be available to complete on the website after the Congress. These have to be filled in and submitted by the end of SATURDAY, 8 FEBRUARY or they cannot be accepted. There is no leeway as we have to work to a time limit set by UEMS/EACCME. If you miss this deadline there is no point in writing to ask for acceptance of late submissions as it will not be possible under any circumstances.
  2. The EB secretariat will issue certificates after the feedback forms have been scrutinised and EB 2020 is given approval to issue certificates. We cannot provide an estimate of the date for certificate issue.
  3. The EB secretariat cannot offer advice or answer questions relating to the applicability or conversion of these credits in different countries. The only source of information is via the link in the UEMS/EACCME statement above which is www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
