Rare Diseases Centre (RDC) Tour

The team at Guy's & St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust invite delegates at the 2020 EB World Congress to join them on a tour of their purpose-built Rare Diseases Centre, a clinical facility specifically aimed to foster and develop multi-disciplinary learning and treatment plans both in-person and through the use of modern technology.

The tour is designed for people interested in learning more about how the RDC was developed, how it works for the patients, the number and type of procedures taking place, and how the use of technology is benefitting those patients.

Congress Co-Chair Professor Jemma Mellerio will begin with a welcome talk and the tour will culminate with a Q&A session with clinical staff in the waiting room. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be posters and information to view.

Accommodating up to 25 people, the tour will take place on the Tuesday (21 January 2020) evening. At approximately 6:15pm a coach will take participants from the Congress hotel to the RDC; the coach will then depart the RDC for the Congress hotel to return at around approximately 7:45pm.
